Customer & financial crime

KYC, CKYC & due diligence

Manage customer due diligence, periodic reviews and registry outcomes with evidence at every step.

PURPOSE & PRACTICE

Give every due-diligence decision a reviewable trail.

Customer due diligence brings together documents, ownership information, risk assessments and periodic review. An unresolved item should remain visible with an owner and a reason, rather than disappear into an onboarding checklist.

The KYC and CKYC module connects policy configuration with customer-operations controls and review records. Teams can organise the evidence for their decisions while keeping external verification and registry outcomes distinguishable from internal completion.

Built around the work of
  • KYC operations
  • Branch and onboarding teams
  • Compliance reviewers

CAPABILITIES

What you can manage.

01

Policy and customer review

Maintain the approved KYC rule basis and organise customer checklists, beneficial-ownership information and due-diligence exceptions around it.

02

Risk and periodic refresh

Document risk categorisation, enhanced-due-diligence review and re-KYC follow-up. Preserve the reason and evidence for a decision when a customer’s circumstances change.

03

CKYC preparation and response tracking

Coordinate record preparation, quality exceptions and response evidence. Separate an internally reviewed record from one accepted through the applicable external registry process.

FROM INPUT TO OUTCOME

A practical path through the work.

  1. Establish the requirement

Confirm the customer type, product, applicable policy version and required verification inputs.

  2. Resolve the review items

Examine missing documents, ownership questions and risk exceptions with the authorised reviewer.

  3. Retain the outcome

Record the internal decision, any external response and the next review requirement with supporting evidence.

YOUR INSTITUTION, YOUR SCOPE

Relevant to banks and NBFCs.

BANKING INSTITUTIONS

For banks

Align branch and central operations to the bank’s customer segments, channels and review responsibilities. Keep policy approval separate from completion of an individual customer case.

NON-BANKING FINANCIAL COMPANIES

For NBFCs

Configure the due-diligence process for the NBFC’s lending products, onboarding channels and customer types. Third-party collection of documents still needs an institution-owned review path.

Scope and implementationVerification and screening providers remain external. CKYC transport uses the institution’s validated portal or SFTP process; KYC completion and registry acceptance are separate outcomes.

PRACTICAL QUESTIONS

Before you put it to work.

Are identity checks and screening performed automatically?

External verification and screening services are separately configured and scoped. A workflow status alone is not evidence that an external verification or screening has been completed.

Does completing KYC mean CKYC registration is accepted?

No. Internal due-diligence completion and registry acceptance are different outcomes. Retain the relevant external response through the institution’s approved CKYC transport process.
